Teaching assistants provide support to teachers and pupils in primary and secondary schools. (Level 2 primary & some secondary. Level 3 for secondary) Typical work activities include: - helping children in all areas of the curriculum;
- assisting with the preparation of the learning environment;
- liaison with parents;
- maintaining pupil records;
- providing extra support to children with special needs or those who speak English as an additional language.
