Courses in stock will be despatched within 4 days excluding weekends and sent by Courier. (Signature required) We will inform you of despatch date and delivery day. If delivery fails on more than 2 occasions, Customer can arrange to collect from a depot local to their address, or pay to have a third delivery attempted. If parcel is refused at the door, or parcel is returned to us undelivered, we reserve the right to charge postage and admin costs deducted from refund. If we are out of stock of any item, we will ensure you receive your full course within 10 working days. All prices shown are inclusive of value added tax where applicable.
Health and Safety:
Home Learn UK cannot be held responsible for personal injury, damage or financial loss to persons, companies, as a direct or indirect result, of directions supplied or implied, in our guidance of use of books and DVD information. These conditions apply to all published materials supplied by Learn It Now Ltd. Resources and materials supplied as part of a course will have printed terms and conditions. All third party terms/conditions will be clearly stated in books/dvd/other written information. All will be deemed to have been accepted as a contract, between purchasers of all products offered here, and third party publishers. (using existing consumer law relating to purchase/enrolment of all products/courses offered)
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of these items within a period of 14 days. This applies to all physical products. There can be no refunds for downloadable materials. We regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts (offer full refunds) that include, items unsealed. Any beauty or Nail Products that have security seals broken. Otherwise, we can accept returns of complete product/course, which is unused and in an "as new, as supplied" condition. To cancel this contract, please pack the relevant item securely, contact us for delivery address to return within 24 hours and send it to us with all invoice/delivery/customer details.
Home Learn UK will not offer any refund due to a change in customer/student circumstances. (After the 14 day period)
Courses are registered to an individual at the time of purchase. Courses are not transferable.
We reserve the right to decline marking of work if students do not follow advice and guidance from Student Support or the appointed Tutor. Failure to adhere to submission advice, or persistent communication problems, (outside of our terms of service offered) will not be considered as reasonable grounds for refund.
With any College Course, Students have to submit work of a standard that is approved and agreed at the outset. It is incumbent upon the student to ensure that they have the means and technology to read/download/submit assignments in the form of documents, and documents that include photographic evidence, (where required) in email format. Some courses have ebooks and templates that require PDF and/or Microsoft Office. We cannot enter into discussions regarding software/hardware/technology issues. We reserve the right to decline marking of work if students do not follow advice and guidance from Student Support or the appointed Tutor.
Conditions relating to student situation/expectation/ability.
Distance Learning is not suitable for students with language, learning, literacy, or numeracy difficulties. Also, students who have physical or mental disability or illness, that could prevent safe use of course materials/instructions etc. Please do not enroll, or purchase if these descriptions could apply to you.
It is the Customer/Student responsibility to ensure that any qualification offered by HLUK will be accepted by the students body of choice/relevant employer/body/industry/association, before enrolment and payment of any said course.
Public Liability Insurance will be from a selected range of Companies. We give HLUK successful Students access to Approved Public Liability Insurance quotes. (Not partial, additional or technique specific) We make no commission or other income from insurance companies. The quotes for Public Liability Insurance using our links, will usually be cheaper than the equivalent cover through various Guilds, Beauty/Nail Associations etc.
It is the students responsibility to supply honest and accurate information to gain insurance. Insurance is based on many factors. Home Learn UK will not be held responsible for any refusal of cover.
Students outside of the UK are specifically not guaranteed or offered Insurance quotes through our system.
Time Limits and Guidelines:
We do not impose time limits for completion of assignments. However, to ensure that we give best advice and support, and to ensure that courses and qualifications are up to date, we may ask students taking longer than 1 year to complete remaining assignments, and submit all together. We will check all work, give feedback and award relevant qualification.
If a course is not completed within 1 year we may charge £38 to produce and send qualification. Courses not completed within 3 years may be obsolete if the syllabus or qualification have changed.
Penalties and charges:
We may have to charge reasonable and appropriate admin charges if we incur costs due to a customer/student's failure to follow clear instructions. (Example: Sending posted work without correct postage paid) We reserve the right to decline marking of work if students do not follow advice and guidance from Student Support or the appointed Tutor.
If a Student fails to submit any assignments for a period of 12 months, the contract between Home Learn UK and student are considered breached. We may, at our discretion allow continuation of a course if non submission is due to exceptional circumstances. There will however be an admin charge of £50 to allow resumption of any course.
Change of Syllabus/Books/Regulations:
Courses are purchased at a moment in time: Learn It Now Ltd. have no obligation to supply new/updated/latest materials to any purchaser who is deemed to have accepted the described course/support/services at time of purchase.
HLUK SAFE Pay as You Learn System:
Accepted participants/students will be deemed to have accepted conditions as stated:
1. After initial payment, first units/assignments must be submitted within 2 calendar months.
2. Because the availability of Pay as You Learn is at our discretion, we reserve the right to request full payment of all course fees, if after the initial payment, stage payments are not forthcoming on a regular basis. If no payment has been received for a period of 4 months, Pay as You Learn scheme will be cancelled. Outstanding balance will need to be settled. Please read Terms.
3. Failure to pay will not usually incur penalty costs to a student. However, it will mean exclusion from this College.
